How’s the oil water separator coalescing media work?

Different from traditional corrugated and inclined plate coalescing media, HD Q-PAC offers

the highest effective coalescing surface of any media on the marketplace. With all rounded elements, the entire surface area is available to support oil droplet coalescence. This eliminates the need for second-stage polishing to achieve oil removal.

It is used for the separation of 20 micron oil with little to no suspended solids present in the wastewater.

How's the oil water separator coalescing media work?

how it work?
The oily wastestream is passed through the coalescing media in a horizontal flow path, the oils attach to the media surface are effectively separated at this point, droplets gather together (coalesce) increasing droplet size and bouyancy, droplets pull away from media surface and rise to the water’s surface. Solids follow a similar action and sink to the tank bottom.
